50th Birthday Survivor

Hello friends, I'm on the Jaded Blossom Blog today with a super fun 50th Birthday Card I made for a dear friend, and I bet you can't guess what her favorite show is!?!?   I just love that Jaded Blossom gives us so many amazing products to mix and match and be able to truly customize the perfect creations!

 

I had so much fun creating this custom birthday card and just tickled with the way it turned out!  To create my beachy backdrop, I used the newly released Horizontal Stitched Clouds Card Mat Dies for the sky and the Tropical Dies for the waves and sand!  I added a sun from the Gnome Dies: Weather Add Ons and a few clouds from the newly released Spring Scenic Dies and used the Tropical Dies 2 for the cute little palm tree!  I used the Girl Gnome Die to create my survivor carrying her torch from the Tropical Dies and gave her an idol from Gnome Dies: Tiki Add Ons to keep her safe and made sure she's eating good with her chicken from Farm Scenic Dies (protein from the eggs of course 😁).

Jaded Blossom's May 2026 Release Day 3

 Hello Friends!  It's Day 3 of Jaded Blossom's May Release and today we have the NEW Fowl Language Stamps and Outline Dies and Butterfly Stencil.  This stamp set might be one of my all-time favorites and I couldn't wait to use the F-CAW-F sentiment and of course you need a crow to go along with it!  It may be a little early for Halloween Cards, but I couldn't resist and absolutely love how this turned out!!

For this card I started out inking a full moon filled midnight sky using a combo of Distress Inks and Oxides and repeatedly stamped the F-CAW-F sentiment from the NEW Fowl Language stamp set over the moon!  I then added a grassy ground using the Spring Dies and a perfect fence for my crow to sit on using the Rickety Fence Die.  I created the crow with the NEW Gnome Friends: Bird Die and added some cute sparkling pumpkins from the Wheelbarrow Dies: Fall Add Ons!

Jaded Blossom's May 2026 Release Day 2

 Hello Friends!  It's Day 2 of Jaded Blossom's May Release and today we have a super cute Park Bench Die, Spring Scenic Dies, and Vertical Stitched Cloud Card Mat Dies to share today!  The Park Bench is the perfect addition to creating a scene and place for the gnomes and gnome friends to sit!  I absolutely love all the scenic dies Jaded Blossom has been giving us and the spring dies do not disappoint, and addition of the various stitched card mat dies makes it so easy to create a fun background.

To create my background, I used the NEW Spring Scenic Dies to create a couple grassy layers and pad for the bench to sit on and then cut them all out with the Rectangle Dies 1 to create a fun stitched framed edge.  I then placed this adorable blue bird I made using the Gnome Friends: Bird Die and Bird Faces sitting on the Park Bench Die, filled in the background with some trees from the Spring Scenic Dies, and added a sentiment from the Relax stamp set.

Jaded Blossom's May 2026 Release Day 1

 Hello Friends, it's Day 1 of Jaded Blossom's May Release and we have the NEW Gnome Friends: Bird Die, Bird Faces, Flappy Birthday Stamps and Outline Dies, and Horizontal Stitched Cloud Card Mat Dies to share with you today!  The new Bird Friend is just the cutest thing ever and I had so much fun challenging myself to turn the bird into a mallard duck living his best lake life!

I started with the NEW Horizontal Stitched Cloud Card Mat Dies and painted in some of the clouds with a white acrylic paint marker, then added some grass using the Spring Dies and water using the Tropical Dies and tucked some trees from the Winter Scenic Dies.  I created this adorable mallard duck using the NEW Gnome Friends: Bird Die and the collar from Gnome Friends: Dog Dies.  To finish it off I added a small school of fish using the Fish Stencil and used the NEW Flappy Birthday Stamps and Outline Dies for the sentiment.

Jaded Blossom May 2026 Monthly Challenge

Theme: Anything Goes

    It's the first Sunday of the month which means it's time for a new monthly challenge at Jaded Blossom and I have a couple Seashell Thank You Cards to share with you!  I made both a horizontal and vertical version with similar layouts.

For both cards I used the Paint Splatters Stamp Set and randomly placed them across the paper using Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass and then used the Shell Stencil to ink over top using Distress Oxide - Antique Linen and sprinkled some water over top and dabbed it up with a paper towel before removing stencil to give the shells a fun look.  I then cut my paper out using the Card Mat Dies and distressed the edges and lightly went over the background unevenly to reduce the bright white color of the paper.  I used the Tropical Dies to make the waves and sand which I also cut out with the Card Mat Dies and distressed the edges of each and to cut out the seashells which I also inked the edges of with a coordinating color to the cardstock I used for each.

I adhered the card mat pieces together and placed them on a mat layer ⅛ inch larger using the same paper as the waves.  I wrapped some raffia ribbon around 3 times, and placed 1mm foam tape covering the entire back except for over the raffia and then placed it onto an A2 sized card base.  I then added my seashells and shape sprinkles as an embellishment and used the Thanks and Everyday Vertical Greetings Stamp Sets to add my sentiment.
