Happy PUR-thday with Jaded Blossom

 Happy PUR-thday

April Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom

Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by!  I am so honored to be a Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom the month of April and share my creations and inspiration with you!  I always tease my mom about turning into the crazy cat lady, so I made her the purfect birthday card to fit.

I used the Card Mat Dies to make a background panel from Doodlebug's Pretty Kitty 6x6 Paper Pad and added a 1/8in larger layer in a teal cardstock and added them to an A2 sized card base.  I then added the "PUR" letters cut from the Alphabet Dies to a strip on the bottom and stamped the rest using the Happy Hello stamp set.  I dressed up the Girl Gnome using the Halloween Costume 2 Add OnsBirthday Add Ons, and Hair Add Ons, then placed her on an orange tone on tone kitty Stitched Oval and added a few yellow enamel hearts.

April Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom

Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by!  I am so honored to be a Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom the month of April and share my creations and inspiration with you!  Spring is finally upon us, and I had so much fun dressing these gnomes up for Easter!

I started off making 8 backgrounds using the Triangle Card Mat along with Doodlebug's Bunny Hop and Rainbow Petite Prints 6x6 paper pads, and kraft cardstock for the brown frame.  I used the new Stitched Arch Dies and created a backdrop for the gnomes to sit on using vellum.  I then dressed up a matching boy and girl gnome using a combination of the Easter Add Ons & Easter Add Ons 2 making a total of 4 different looks for the cards.

Jaded Blossom April 2025 Monthly Challenge and Guest Designer Spotlight

Jaded Blossom April 2025 Monthly Challenge

Theme: Animals

Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my Guest Designer creation for Jaded Blossom's April Monthly challenge: Animals!  I am so honored to be a Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom the month of April and share my creations and inspiration with you!  What better way to start it off than with an "Adventure" themed birthday card?

I just love how this card turned out so much!  I started out by cutting an A2 sized panel from Bella BLVD's Bug Explorer - Nature Study 12x12 cardstock and used a brown ink to dirty up the edges.  Then I used the Tropical Dies to cut out a piece of 12x12 Bella BLVD DADstyle - Hustle & Heart cardstock for the ground.  Using the Off Road Vehicle dies I cut several different cardstocks and then dirtied up the body with brown ink.  The gnome is dressed up using the Safari Add Ons and I add glossy accents to the goggles to give them some fun definition!  And now my favorite part... the LION!!!! He is created using the body of the Penguin dies, the head and paws from the Bear dies, and his mane, snout, and ears are from the Animal Add Ons and then I gave him black enamel dot eyes!  Isn't he just the CUTEST?!?!?  I finished up the card by adding a few yellow hearts and adding the "Adventure Awaits" and "4X4" sentiments using The Road Less Traveled stamps and coordinating dies and dirtied up the edges using brown ink.

Now on to the inside... I used the same paper and dies to cut out more ground and added the sweet little backpack from the Safari Add Ons, obviously if it came from his vehicle it had to be dirty too!  I add the happy birthday sentiment from Happy Trails Gnomie stamp set.

Thanks again so much for stopping by to check out my creation!  I hope this brings you inspiration and invite you to join in on the fun and enter in your own project for the monthly challenge HERE, and while you're at it check out all the other amazing entries and design team inspiration!  Below you will find a list of all the products I used, have a Pawsome Day!

Happy Wicked Birthday

HAPPY WICKED BIRTHDAY

I made this WICKED awesome birthday card for a dear friend of mine and added a special touch to a gift card holder to put inside!  We were just talking about how much we both loved the movie so I figured it would be the perfect theme for her!

I started by inking a 5x7in panel of white cardstock down the middle in yellow and then used a slightly darker yellow to ink the Brick Stencil over top.  Then I blended in green and pink from opposite sides to meet up with the yellow brick road and framed it in using black ink around the edges after trimming it down a 1/8in from all four sides (equaling 4.75 x 6.75).  To give the background a sparkly touch I added a couple light sprays of Gink K Designs Glimmer Mist which I tried to capture in the picture below.  I layered the background on black cardstock cut at 4.875 x 6.875 inches and attached it to a 5x7 inch card base.

Using the Alphabet Dies I cut out the word WICKED in a black glitter cardstock and used the Happy Hello stamp set for the Happy Birthday and inked them using Distress Oxides.  I used the Sentiment Strip dies to cut them out and then glued it all down to the background.  I wanted to add a special touch to gift card holder, so I quickly blended a little bit of green and pink and the used the Wicked Strong Coffee stamp set for the sentiment.

Now, on to the witches!

Jaded Blossom March 2025 Monthly Challenge

Jaded Blossom March 2025 Monthly Challenge

Theme: Anything Goes

Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my entry for Jaded Blossom's March Monthly challenge: Anything Goes!  This month I created a couple cards for friends who have birthdays on/near St. Patrick's Day.

I gave this ornery little gnome his leprechaun look using the St. Patrick's Day Add Ons and his tasty beer using the Pot of Gold Add Ons.   For the background I used a light blue cardstock and added a clover filled hill using the Mushroom Dies set and then filled the sky with a pretty rainbow and a few clouds using the Rainbow Dies. I finished it off by stamping and die cutting a sentiment from the Lucky Vibes set, popped up with foam, and added a few glittery enamel dots.

I created the background for this giddy gal using the Moroccan Stencil with a slightly darker green ink than the cardstock for a monotone look and then cut it out using the Card Mat Dies.  I then cut a rainbow cardstock from the Stitched Ovals and layered on top of a gold metallic cardstock cut from the Scallop Oval dies.  She's leaping with joy with the Leg Add Ons and holding a glittery shamrock balloon from the Pot of Gold Add Ons.  Her ready to party mode comes from the Lucky Vibes stamp set.

Jaded Blossom February 2025 Monthly Challenge

Jaded Blossom February 2025 Monthly Challenge

Theme: Use A Stencil

Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my entry for Jaded Blossom's February Monthly challenge: Use A Stencil!  This month I created a beautiful floral birthday card using the Vine Stencil and Flower Dies.

I started off by inking the vine stencil with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Cabbage then cut it out with the Card Mat Dies and blended the edges to give a nice border.  I then splattered Tim Holtz Gilded Foundry Wax and heat set it to give a golden touch!  The background was attached to a kraft cardstock cut 1/8" larger than the mat die and then adhered to an A2 size card base.

Using the flower dies I created the beautiful floral arrangement and shaped the flowers to give a nice touch of dimension and used a gold metallic cardstock in the middle to give them the same shining look as the background.  I then cut out a banner from the Mini Tag Dies 2 using the same kraft cardstock as the mat layer and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Grilling With My Gnomies stamp set and nestled it in the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed my creation for this month's challenge and below you will find a list of all the products I used.

Jaded Blossom Heart on Fire Valentine

HEART ON FIRE

Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by and checking out this super cute Valentine for my firefighter husband!  I started with Jaded Blossom's Girl Gnome and Girl Gnome Face Add Ons dies and gave her a sweet winking face using their Valentine Gnome Faces stamp set. I then made up her blazing heart by combining the Valentine and S'more Add Ons and used a Wink of Stella glitter brush to add a little sparkle!

The background was created using Card Mat and Octagon dies and I cut another layering mat out of blue cardstock 1/8" larger and placed it on an A2 size card base.  I used the coordinating dies to cut out the sentiment from the Arrest Me stamp set and popped it up using 2mm foam squares, then added a few blue hearts using the Embellishment Clusters Die for an extra little touch.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do and thanks again so much for stopping by! You can find a list of the products used below.
