Theme: Make A Background

    Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my entry for Jaded Blossom's June Monthly challenge: Make A Background!  This month I created an adorable bee-day card for a special little 1yr old!  I wanted her to have an interactive card, so I made a shaker card complete with a cute little fuzzy cubby bee. 

        I created the background by adding a grassy hill cut from the Mushroom Dies to a blue sky and added some fluffy clouds using the Rainbow Dies.  I then used the branch and leaves from the Tree Swing Dies and added a cute little beehive using the Beekeeper Add Ons.

        I then added a Bug Trail to an A2 sized full shaker panel, closed up 3 of the sides then added Doodlebug Design's Busy Bees Shakers before closing up the last flap. 

    I added the super sweet chubby bee from the Beekeeper Add Ons and cut it out from Doodlebug's Velvet Cardstock for added texture!  For a final a touch I added the "Sweet as Honey" sentiment from the Bee Kind Stamps and Dies.

    I added another sentiment from the Bee Kind stamp set to the inside and dressed it up with a honey pot and bee from the Beekeeper Add Ons.  I colored in the bee and added the trail with a black pen and added Glossy Accents to the honey in the pot.

Jaded Blossom Graduation Cards

Jaded Blossom Graduation Cards

    Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by!  I have had so much fun creating cards for some lucky Graduates this year.

    For these 2 cards I started off cutting out the background paper using the Card Mat Dies (one was going to be a close call on being big enough to cut properly with the die and I didn't want to risk ruining it, so it is a plain rectangle) and then I cut a matting layer measuring 1/8in smaller than an A2 size card.  I cut out a Stitched Circle and placed it in the bottom right corner and also used the card mat die one the one card to give it a continuous stitched look.  Then I dressed up the Girl Gnomes in their cap and gown using the School Add Ons and gave them a well-deserved diploma to hold.  For an added touch I cut out a couple big red shiny Balloon Dies and added the Congratulations using both the stamp set and coordinating dies.

    For the 2nd round of cards, I changed up the look but still used the Card Mat Dies and layering mat for the background.  I decorated these using the Diamond Dies and Star Dies and added the 25 using the Alphabet Dies.  The "Class of" came from the stamp set Grad Day by Photoplay.

Theme: Anything Goes

    Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my entry for Jaded Blossom's May Monthly challenge: Anything Goes!  This month I created a couple cards for a friend's twins 3rd birthdays.  I have been wanting to create dino cards for a while now and think these turned out so cute. 

    For both these cards I used the Card Mat Dies to make a grassy background and a brown strip that I inked using the Mini Dino Stencil.  I layered the background on a 1/8-inch larger mat with a coordinating dinosaur color and lined the brown strip with peel offs from Love From Lizi.  I used the Gnome Dies and the Girl Gnome Dies and dressed them up as dinosaurs using the Monster Add Ons 1.  I gave them both a cute little cupcake to hold from the Birthday Add Ons and then cut out the words Party Time from the Birthday Word Dies.

April Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom

    Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by!  I have had so much fun being a Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom the month of April and sharing my creations and inspiration with you! For my final design I have this super cute birthday card I made for my husband!

     With my husband being a firefighter, the Firefighter Add Ons are one of my absolute favorites to play with!  I used the Gnome Face Add Ons 1 and Gnome Faces stamp set to give him those adorable eyes and the stereotypical firefighter mustache!  My favorite part was creating our dog and having him playfully hanging out in the cloud of smoke that was cut out using the Border Dies 2 and popped up with foam tape.  I cut the background and the smoke out using the Card Mat Dies and added a baseboard using the Border Dies, then used the Sound the Alarm stamp set for the sentiment.

Speedy Recovery with Jaded Blossom

April Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom 

        Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by!  I am so honored to be a Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom the month of April and share my creations and inspiration with you!  Got any Gnomies you need to send a Get Well Soon card to? Well, I created these 6 cards to help you get started on showing them just how much you care!  All the cards are A2 size and feature the Happy Healing collection from Doodlebug Design.

CARD 1

    This sweet caring bear was made using the Bear Dies and Faces and is holding an x-ray from the Medical Add Ons.  The red background was cut out from the Card Mat Dies and the bear is nestled on a Stitched Square. The sentiment comes from the Speedy Recovery stamp set and coordinating dies.

   

 

CARD 2

    This Gnome is holding a band aid from the Medical Add Ons and is sitting on a set of nestled stitched Octagons.  I used two papers for the background cut from the Card Mat Dies and the sentiment was stamped and cut out using the Speedy Recovery stamp set and coordinating dies.

CARD 3

    Need a tissue???  This thoughtful Girl Gnome has a box from the Medical Add Ons for you! The background and sentiment were created using the same products as card 2.  I used a white velvet cardstock for the tissues so they would be nice a soft and not hurt your nose!

CARD 4

     For this card I turned the pill bottle from the Medical Dies into a fun shaker piece and placed it on a stitched Rectangle.  For the background I used the Card Mat Dies for the white and accent papers and then added some black hearts from the Embellishment Clusters Die along with a few black gems.  I used the same Speedy Recovery set for the sentiment and outlined it with a black marker to help it stand out.

CARD 5

This handsome lad is ready to relax and recover in his big comfy Chair after taking his meds!  I used the Border Dies to create a baseboard for wall and floor and added a few blue hearts using the Embellishment Clusters Die.  The sentiment is from the Speedy Recovery set and his pill bottle is from the Medical Add Ons.

CARD 6

    The Mrs. is ready to rest and relax in the other room after having to take care of his (card 5) man cold!  She rocking a curly hair do from the Hair Add Ons or it may just be frizz from all the heat her other half is giving off!  This card features all the same dies as his card and a few pretty pink enamel hearts.

April Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom 

    Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by!  I am so honored to be a Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom the month of April and share my creations and inspiration with you!  I always tease my mom about turning into the crazy cat lady, so I made her the purfect birthday card to fit.  

    I used the Card Mat Dies to make a background panel from Doodlebug's Pretty Kitty 6x6 Paper Pad and added a 1/8in larger layer in a teal cardstock and added them to an A2 sized card base.  I then added the "PUR" letters cut from the Alphabet Dies to a strip on the bottom and stamped the rest using the Happy Hello stamp set.  I dressed up the Girl Gnome using the Halloween Costume 2 Add Ons, Birthday Add Ons, and Hair Add Ons, then placed her on an orange tone on tone kitty Stitched Oval and added a few yellow enamel hearts.

        Hello crafty friend, I hope you know how Pawsome you are and thanks so much for stopping by!  I am so honored to be a Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom the month of April and share my creations and inspiration with you!  Spring is finally upon us, and I had so much fun dressing these gnomes up for Easter!

    I started off making 8 backgrounds using the Triangle Card Mat along with Doodlebug's Bunny Hop and Rainbow Petite Prints 6x6 paper pads, and kraft cardstock for the brown frame.  I used the new Stitched Arch Dies and created a backdrop for the gnomes to sit on using vellum.  I then dressed up a matching boy and girl gnome using a combination of the Easter Add Ons & Easter Add Ons 2 making a total of 4 different looks for the cards.
