Jaded Blossom April 2026 Monthly Challenge
Theme: Sympathy
It's the first Sunday of the month which means it's time for a new monthly challenge at Jaded Blossom and I have a simple but stunning Sympathy Card to share that I made for inspiration.
For this simplistic design I inked the edges of some woodgrain cardstock cut at 4¼ x 5½ for the background and added a piece of textured green cardstock with torn edges and slightly crinkled by hand to the middle. I then stamped the fern leaf from Thinking of You with VersaMark and heated black embossing powder on a piece of vellum, tore the edges, and left a little extra on the top and bottom to be able to wrap around and adhere to the back so that the adhesive wouldn't show. I wrapped black thread/floss several times and tied a bow over the stem of the leaf and then added it all to an A2 card base. To finish it off I used the Mini Tag Dies 2 to cut out a sentiment from the set Wishing You Comfort and placed it in the bottom right-hand corner.
